In October 2016 Ebay seller me from East Texas in Pennsylvania, USA was selling this Dubai plate.
He says it is a 2009 era series 6 passenger plate and that «This is an authentic late 2000 era passenger license plate from the UAE Emirate of Dubai. This plate is not a novelty nor is it an common export series … authentic long style rear plate – very nice unused condition. Note: many of these plates were photographed outside.»
Unfortunately, this is completely wrong. It is a 1975 rejected test design from the German manufacturer and this style was never adopted in Dubai. There are 5 known plates all with this same number. Nothing like this has ever existed on a vehicle in Dubai and none of the 5 plates has ever been near Dubai.
