IÂ was given this photo and was told someone was trying to sell these plates in maybe September 2014. They look a little like Iraq Kurdstan plates but they are both fakes or replicas. It is not possible to see how they are made but they could be printed stickers or stickers on flat metal or any sort of construction. It looks like they are on some sort of backing but is it metal or paper?
One thing is certain, they are not real plates. The white plate 87653210 is an impossible number as there are not 87 million private cars in Iraqi Kurdistan. The yellow commercial vehicle plate 765321 is obviously made by the same person and also not possible. Both have Iraq and Arbil at the bottom.
I have no idea what they are supposed to be. Souvenirs, replicas, fakes, anything is possible.
