n June 2015 Ebay seller marderfacker from Krettenhof in Germany was trying to sell these fake Cuban plate that he correctly explains are not real plates but were bought in a tourist shop as souvenirs.
The colours, designs and numbers are all wrong but actually these hand-made plates are some of the better quality ones around. There are hundreds of these fake Cuban plates available and some dealers try to claim they are genuine.
Although marderfacker is being honest, some crook on Ebay could buy them and try to sell them as genuine for a quick profit.
Do not buy mint plates or you will end up with rubbish in your collection.
