In December 2014 Ebay seller busi_edu_toys from NSW in Australia was selling this supposedly Azerbaijan plate. The problem is that the design is completely wrong. It should be a Spanish 2-part base not a German one, the font is wrong and the flag and AZ look like they are on a sticker and not printed on the plate.
This is either an outright fake that might have been made in Hungary or a manufacturer’s sample from when they were trying to get the Azerbaijan contract……and failed.
Why buy such mint looking plates when you really don’t know what a genuine plate should look like. There are hundreds of photos of genuine plates on the www and it is so easy to check if something looks right or not.
