208-Sao Tome & Principe (STP) fakes

These are all supposed to be São Tomé and Príncipe (STP) plates however the island, off the western coast of central Africa, has never used plates with a flag on. The first five are known to have been made by the forger J.D. Applegate as a way of making money.
The ‘plate’ 41-328 looks like a more recent forgery and may even have been made in India with the hundreds of other fake plates that went to America. At the moment we do not know who made it. Whoever it was, all plates like this are complete forgeries and nothing like real STP plates. I believe there are several more like this in collector land.
