In May 2018 Ebay seller anschu1994 from Hünfelden in Germany was trying to sell this sample Syrian plate – the top one in the photo.
This and a great many others in collections were made by a German manufacturer as samples in a big variety of colours, all with the same registration, more than 30 years ago.
He says it is a used plate but this has never been outside Germany in its long life and certainly has never been used.
Always check that a plate you want is even possibly genuine. Do not just believe everything written on an Ebay advert.
