In October 2017 Ebay seller slotgirl777 from San Diego, California was selling this supposedly used Egyptian plate (top one). It does have Cairo painted on it but this has never been anywhere near Egypt and is nothing like any Egypt plate has ever been.
It is one of a batch of probably manufacturer’s samples that usually have Algeria painted on them. The flag on two of them may indicate they were supposed to be some sort of military design.
The other 3 were sold a long while ago by a very dodgy dealer in Germany so I guess they originated in Germany.
I don’t have good photos of the other ones sadly but this will show the plate she (?) is selling (at high cost) is NOT a real plate at all.
