Common plate misconceptions 1:
1. The top left picture is of an Iraqi army plate and these are very common. The top right picture is of an Iraqi Republican Guard plate and they are incredibly rare. Most collectors and sellers assume they have a Republican Guard plate – Wrong!
2. The bottom photo is of a standard cast middle eastern plate. They are all cast aluminium. There is no such thing as a cast iron vehicle number plate (railway locomotive yes – vehicle no!)
