60-Arab League plates

are stated to have been made for an Arab League meeting in the 1970s or some say 1980s. I can find no trace of a suitable Arab League meeting during that time when so many ‹countries› attended. The UAE was created in 1971 and Abu Dhabi and Sharjah ceased to exist as separate countries then so, if indeed there was an Arab League meeting, it would have to be before 1971 since plate 79 is Abu Dhabi and 88 is Sharjah. Post 1971, the plates would have been UAE nn.
My feeling is that these plates are plate casters (manufacturers) samples, probably Lebanese or Syrian, as the Saudi ones were usually more crudely made by the 1970s.
