In April 2015 Ebay seller youngtimers-car from France advertised these reproduction French plates that he rightly claims are reproductions. Sadly, there are too many crooked plate dealers who will try to buy them and then sell them as genuine and used. Some will probably try to distress them and make them look used.
There are genuine used French plates available on Ebay in good condition and at reasonable prices so there is never any need to buy mint plates like these. French plates are easy to have made so be very, very careful when buying them on Ebay and especially ones with such low numbers as these.
