We now have 4 batches of Indian type plates from Bhutan, Ceylon (Sri Lanka), Seychelles and India. All these countries have owner provided plates but all four of these batches look like they have been made by the same machines and that style is incredibly rare and then only seen very occasionally in India itself. The two orange Seychelles CD plates are probably plate manufacturers’ samples of the wrong colour (one was photographed in their factory in Germany) rather than from the big batch of Indian made copies but it is easier to include them here. Seychelles plates are never made in this style and all these plates are mint so they can best be described as made-to-order specials to part collectors from their money. I guess these were all made in India somewhere.
I believe all (except the 2 orange CD plates) originated from American Ebay plate dealer stanwa who is now lerosier1945.
