In July 2014 Australian Ebayer rooemu was trying to sell these replica Queensland plates. The series started in the 1920s so these plates must be replicas of late 20s or early 30s plates.
Nearly all plates that are known from this Queensland series had more normally shaped cast aluminium numbers but some few plates did have these numbers that look like house numbers.
rooemu is selling them as replicas which is no problem. The danger is that some crooked Ebay dealer in fake plates will distress them and try to sell them as genuine plates at some time in the future. This has happened with several replicas previously.
Replica plates are not the problem, crooked Ebay dealer-collectors are.
