During 2011 several plates came up for sale on Ebay from old collections.
The plates in this photo all have problems with the Arabic and were not written by a native Arabic speaker.
The three on the left are all supposed to be Aswan motorcycle plates from the 1956 series but all have badly written, incorrect Arabic.
The three on the right are various different types of 1956 plate but all have incorrect Arabic and have something wrong with the design.
Some people believe these may be more J.D. Applegate fakes but I am not certain as, I think, the Arabic is actually better than he could have managed.
