When new plates were introduced in Jordan in 2007, there were no samples that escaped the factory, probably because it was not a German company that got the contract. They are unlike anything seen in the rest of the world so it is presumably an indigenous Jordanian company that makes the machines/plates.
There is, however, one seller of genuine but expensive Jordanian plates – originally ofk80, then atothek2008 and so on and now atothek2011, based in Jordan.
He managed to get his hands on two of the new plates very quickly. Samples, from a friend in the plate factory, error plates, who knows. They do however look very genuine, are correct but mint and at least we know they were made in Jordan and shipped from Jordan.
Good man atothek2011.
